What exactly is exfoliation? It’s any process in which you remove dead skin cells from your body. This simple process can be done in many ways from the comfort of your own home! Afterwards, you are left with more radiant and softer skin than you have felt in a long time! When you exfoliate, you should be exfoliating your entire body and depending on the area you are focusing on you may use a different process since some areas are more sensitive. If you commit to exfoliating regularly (3 times per week) your skin will look and feel younger! Here are three types of exfoliating:
You should always start with a warm shower or bath before you exfoliate to help loosen up any dead skin cells. Then exfoliate while in the shower or bath. Once you finish exfoliating, rinse off and towel dry. Apply a thick body cream or lotion all over. Your pores are open after your warm shower or bath which allows your skin to soak up the cream and will help your skin feel amazing. Pro Tip: Before you apply cream or lotion, sit down and grab a callus remover for your feet. Take this chance to file off the dead skin cells from your heels and feet. Your feet will be soft and the dead skin cells will come off easily! Most importantly, enjoy your at-home spa experience! Light some candles, put on your favorite music and enjoy this time to yourself. - Crystal Haire Owner, Taboo Salon and Spa
