Crystal, Owner
Crystal is a state board-licensed cosmetologist and makeup artist who has been in the beauty industry for over 15 years. After working as an accountant for five years doing things like, analyzing finances, maintaining billing and managing customer service she realized she wasn’t expressing her true passion. So she quit her job, and decided to pursue her real career aspirations in the beauty industry.
After enrolling in Empire Beauty School she finally found what she truly loved to do. She discovered that helping people feel better about themselves inside and out was so extremely rewarding that she really fell in love with her work. Opening Taboo Salon & Spa was the final step in completing Crystal’s career goals in the industry.
She has continued to develop her skills through a variety of over 100 courses including: a master color class with Matrix, facial classes with Bioelements and body waxing technique classes. Crystal’s skills in the industry continue to grow as she utilizes everything she has learned with each of her unique clients.
Celia, Master Stylist
Celia has been doing hair and makeup professionally for 11 years. She recently moved back to Pennsylvania from Los Angeles where she spent the last three years. She attended makeup school in Hollywood to continue her education to get certified in SFX makeup for films and high fashion makeup. Celia continued to work in the hair and makeup industry doing stylized photo shoots, weddings, and print Ad work as well as some small films. Missing where she grew up, Celia decided to leave the LA life to come back to home sweet home and is super excited to be back in Pennsylvania.
